WHAT IS WEB?
WEB stands for Where Everybody Belongs and is a sixth grade transition program, a leadership training program, and a school community-building program. Eighth graders are carefully selected to be WEB Leaders for incoming sixth graders. The primary role of the WEB Leader is to work with groups of sixth graders to make their transition to middle school a smooth one; beginning with the WEB Orientation the day before school begins. The WEB Orientation is phenomenal! Sixth grade students are welcomed and wow-ed by the WEB Leaders. The orientation is a combination of opening and closing assemblies and two small group sessions of 8-10 students. One other role a WEB Leader plays is to provide social and academic support throughout the school year by checking in with sixth graders and leading lessons in their classes. For additional information about the WEB program, please contact Mrs. Hauck-Wood, Ms. Moser, or Mrs. Libertino.
