Science Olympiad
Welcome to the Science Olympiad Program at AOMS!
In Science Olympiad, students have the opportunity to learn more about a science topic they are interested in, or engineer a contraption to be used for competition in the annual Reginal Science Olympiad Competition with multiple team event to choose from. Science Olympiad also offers students an incredible opportunity to observe, experience, and explore a STEM career, as they are mentored by a professional expert, scientist and/or engineer, most are employees of Viasat Global Communications Company in Carlsbad.
Here is an introductory video to learn what the Science Olympiad is all about, how students will participate, important dates, and more. Science Olympiad is provided by the Carlsbad Education Foundation (CEF) and local science & engineering partner, Viasat. You can reach out to Brian at CEF directly at ScienceOlympiad@carlsbaded.org.
Students will meet weekly to prepare for competitions, collaborate with teammates, and deepen their scientific skills in a fun, supportive enviroment.
