Mr. Eshelman is born and raised in Carlsbad; attending elementary, middle, and high school within Carlsbad Unified. He earned his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, his teaching credential from National University, and his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from California State University San Marcos. Mr. Eshelman previously taught English at the Army & Navy Academy, Valley Middle School, and Carlsbad High School. He also served as a basketball coach for the Lancers before becomming the Athletic Director at CHS. Prior to joining the Aviara Oaks team, Mr. Eshelman served as an Assistant Principal at Rancho Buena Vista High School for two years. Mr. Eshelman is excited to be back in Carlsbad Unified, and join the AO family. Go Falcons!
