Sept 2025 | Book Fair  | CYRM Sign Ups | Chromebook Care 

Welcome back to the new school year at AOMS!

Book Fair is Sept 12th - 18th

The Book Fair is coming to AOMS. Students will come with their English classes and can visit during brunch, lunch and after school. We will also be open during Back to School Night from 5-7pm; if you would like to park early and peruse the books. 

Volunteers Needed to run the registers. This is a great opportunity to join your student's class at the Book Fair and make this event a success. 

Support the library! Book Fair proceeds pay for our programs like CYRM and book protective supplies.

California Young Reader Sign Ups are Open

Students can sign up for the CYRM Program in the library (you must be logged into your student account). Students read the three titles and take a quiz on each book. After you are done, vote for your favorite. 

Students that complete the program will receive extra credit in their English class and come to a pizza party with prizes. 

Parent permission is required to participate. See Mrs. Otten for details.
Chromebook Care
Please review the Chromebook, Damages and Fines Policies that you received in the AOMS Handbook during registration in Aeries. 

We recommend that you get a case to protect the Chromebook. Please note that many cases online are for aesthetics purposes only. A case without protective padding is NOT going to protect from drops or falls resulting in broken screens or hinges.

We are Big Time by Hena Khan

Book of the Month on Sora

Read the Book of the Month through the Sora app in Clever. 

Family Style by Thien Pham

Follow Thien's story of leaving Vietnam and moving to California through all the tastes of food he eats along the way. This graphic novel memoir is a YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction Finalist Eisner Award Winner and NPR Best Books of 2023.
