May 2026

May is our busiest month of the year with testing, renewals, getting ready for summer and next school year, traveling for all the college graduations, and a slightly late May Newsletter.

All student library books and fines need to be cleared by Memorial Day. Please check your student's account and reach out if you have any questions.

Carlsbad City Library is coming to AOMS

On Friday, May 22 students can visit the Carlsbad Library pop up at lunch time. They will be promoting the Summer Reading Program, Tween and YA events, and giving away free books.

AOMS Library can now sign up students for Carlsbad City Library cards without needing to visit the library. You pick up a packet (in English or Spanish) for guardians to fill out at home. Return the packet to the AOMS Library. Mrs. Otten will verify your information and the Carlsbad Library will do the rest, including delivering your new library card to school.
