The Scholastic Book Fair Sept 11th - 17th!Middle School readers, get excited! The Book Fair opens Friday, Sept 11th, and English classes will visit throughout the following week. Parents, stop by and browse our selection during the Back to School Night on Thursday, Sept 17th!

California Young Reader Medal (CYRM) Sign Ups Are Open
Love to read and vote for your favorite books? Join the CYRM Program. Students will read fantastic new stories, have a group celebration, and even earn extra credit in English class.

Where to Get Books: Check out books in the AOMS library, digitally on Sora, visit the Carlsbad Library, or purchase a personal copy at your favorite book shop.

PTSA Planners Available in the LibraryDo you still need a planner for school? Great news, you can still pick up a planner from the PTSA. Bring $10 cash only to the library or
order online and a pass will be sent to your student on Fridays to pick up their planner.
Carlsbad City Library
Check out the Teen Events at the Carlsbad City Library. They offer book clubs, Dungeons & Dragons, the Exploration HUB, and more.
Library Cards for Carlsbad City Library
Students can sign up for a Carlsbad City Library at the AOMS Library. Students can pick up an application in English or Spanish. Parents fill it out at home, the school will verify your information, and the City Library will deliver your new library card to the school. One Book One San Diego
One Book One San Diego announced this year's teen selection.
Makayla is bursting with ideas but doesn't know how to make them into a story. Howard loves to draw, but he struggles to come up with ideas and his dad thinks comics are a waste of time. Lynda constantly draws in her sketchbook but keeps focusing on what she feels are mistakes, and Art simply loves being creative and is excited to try something new. They come together to form The Cartoonists Club, where kids can learn about making comics and use their creativity and imagination for their own storytelling adventures!

New Books in the Library - You can also shop our Amazon Wish List to support the library. You can support the Aviara Oaks Library through our Wish List or donated your gently used books. Used books are shared with our other CUSD Libraries and our greater community to expand access to books for all.
